Chat, Yarn or Chinwag
Whatever you call it, we’re here to talk about ageing, loss, dying, grief and bereavement.
What does PalliChat Brisbane south provide?
Free One-to-One Support
Patients and their families can book free sessions with one of our PalliWellbeing Connectors. Our PalliWellbeing Connectors are here to listen to your story and what matters most to you. They can give you advice on how to ask for help from your health, social and community supports and information about local supports.
We run a number of groups in the Brisbane south region and online. Our groups are called PalliChat Cafes and help people meet friendly people for a chat, set goals and connect with others. Our PalliChat Cafes are facilitated by our PalliWellbeing Connectors and are free for patients and families. You can also request a PalliWellbeing Connectors to hold a support group for your community group. Find out more on our groups page.
Our trainings are all about the power of communities to support each other and spread information. The more that we are all empowered with knowledge and skills, the more we can help each other as a community. Our training courses include: Last Aid; PalliCommunity Connector; and Becoming a Compassionate Communities.
Our networks aim to connect likeminded individuals and organisations. Our Brisbane South Compassionate Communities Interagency Network (BCCIN) brings together agencies providing support for people in Brisbane south who are experiencing loss, dying and grief. Our Brisbane South PalliCommunity Connectors Network (BSPCCN) is a network which brings together those who have completed our PalliCommunity Connectors training and live in the Brisbane South region.
